RSMR (Rayner Spencer Mills Research) is a leading UK independent fund ratings and research agency, supporting financial advisers, wealth managers, and investment professionals with trusted research, model portfolios, and insights.
We meet with hundreds of fund managers each year, selecting only the strongest funds for our ratings, and we manage a range of Model Portfolio Solutions (MPS) designed to deliver long-term value for advisers and their clients.

Role Purpose
To help drive RSMR's growth by attracting and retaining business from advice and wealth management firms in relation to the MPS ranges we manage.
This is role sits in a small and highly experienced business development team within the RSMR business, which has a pre-eminent reputation in qualitative fund research and portfolio building.
Role Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Senior Manager, MPS and Key Accounts, meet and wherever possible outperform agreed business and individual objectives
- Responsibility for generating MPS business from across the wealth and advice sector, including RSMR’s platform ranges and other network models managed by RSMR
- Look for opportunities to generate fee-based business into RSMR’s advisory services
- Develop and manage warm relationships; understand and discuss needs and plans
- Be an ambassador for RSMR and represent its strengths, services and solutions in ways that are relevant and attractive
- Prioritise engagement time with clients and potential clients, face to face or virtually, including meetings and networking opportunities
- Provide first class MPS post sales engagement and servicing
- Seek and develop leads from RSMR’s various segmented databases
- Use the CRM as the focus of managing client engagement, client servicing and transparency across RSMR, for example pipeline information and insight
- Maintain close working relationships with the rest of the RSMR team. Stay abreast of and discuss internally the needs and trends in the advice community including regulatory changes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience in generating business from financial advisers or wealth managers, including understanding client issues and solving them with appropriate solutions
- A good understanding of challenges within advice and wealth businesses and the latest regulatory, business and investment trends in the industry
- An effective user of technology for business, in particular digital lead generation, CRM and social media, particularly LinkedIn
- Proficient at effective networking, virtually and face to face - you'll be attending networking events to help develop new contacts and relationships
- Resilient and self-reliant, while also an excellent team contributor and collaborator
- Several years’ experience and demonstrable track record working closely with or within wealth/advice businesses
Good to have
- A relevant professional qualification in an area such as financial planning would be an advantage
Location
This role will be 100% remote although you're more than welcome to work from any of our Fintel Plc offices if you like to be in an office from time to time. Our RSMR office is in Silsden, West Yorkshire but we also have Fintel offices in Glasgow, Huddersfield, Derby, Haddenham, London, Newport, South Wales, Southampton, Worksop.
While a large proportion of the work you do will be via telephone or Teams calls, you will need to be able to travel to networking events as required.

We are currently unable provide sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Visa so you will need to hold the long term right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
