With continued growth plans for the coming year, we are inviting applications for experienced Corporate Account Managers with sound technical knowledge of General Insurance (GI) and Banking products. You will be part of a team that brings data to life and gives insight on product design and management, understanding consumers, governance and marketing products. This is a commercial role that will see you working closely with the largest institutions in the UK.
You can be fully remote, hybrid or office based (Haddenham). The team is remotely based.
The role is critical to the overall success of Defaqto as our team manage the commercial relationships between Defaqto and General Insurers making sure they continue to purchase and use our software and our marketing solutions. Supporting each account in maximising the investment they make in our products and services and identifying new opportunities to increase income.
You will manage a portfolio of our client base and ensure that they are maximising the value from our products and actively seek out new ways of extending their investment in our solutions. Key to your success will be to raise awareness and understanding of Defaqto and be able to articulate and coordinate the delivery of solutions that will help clients attain their business goals.
Regular travel to client offices and developing strong working relationships will be central to your success. Positioning Defaqto's expertise and insight across the various functions within the client organisation will require you to have and be able to build on your existing general insurance and banking product knowledge.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
An exceptional understanding of retail financial products and their distribution in the UK - i.e. you will have sound technical knowledge
To be able to demonstrate a good understanding of how intelligence led decision making drives better outcomes
Experience of selling software as a service, and subscription based sales
To have demonstrable success in previous similar roles (eg. client relationship management, product marketing) within the GI sector
Please note that if you are more "sales" than "technical", then this role probably isn't for you. Our Provider clients will expect sound technical product knowledge and for their Account Manager to be able to discuss their challenges and our solutions on a technical level i.e. get into the detail.
You will need a valid UK Driving Licence and to be able to travel with overnight stays as and when required. As well as travel to client sites, there is a a regular monthly meeting onsite at our Defaqto offices in Haddenham and this will involve an overnight stay.
Finally, you will be comfortable carrying a target, be personable and inquisitive with a need to know more and be determined and resilient.
